i’m tired of seeing people starve for attention, on facebook or in real life. they do things because it will get them noticed and it will get people to talk about them or comment on whatever it is.

let’s not be so hypocritical, let’s take to heart what we say and actually do it. if you want to become a better christian it’s not gonna happen just because you decide to post a bible verse on facebook and talk about how you want to walk the walk, how you want to be different, how you want to change.

do it! donate, serve, help others, read your bible more, get more friendships that will benefit you, have people hold you accountable. but don’t do it because you want recognition. don’t do it because it’s the “right thing to do”

being a better person and a better christian starts with yourself. no one is perfect and we won’t ever be. but if you know your faults, why don’t you change them instead of TALKING about changing them.

you don’t need to have a million facebook friends, you don’t need to buy the coolest clothes, or listen to the latest music, or have the best pictures on facebook, you don’t need to have a bunch of friends that you hang out with all the time that aren’t really there for you when you need them, you don’t need to slather on twenty pounds of make up on your face or wear revealing clothes to get people to like you and compliment you.

GOD loves you. All of you. all of your imperfections and your flaws, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t work on them. it doesn’t mean that you should keep doing the same things you KNOW you shouldn’t do because “it’s ok, God will love me anyway”

He wants us to be EXAMPLES to the next generation. how are we going to do that if we aren’t honest with ourselves OR with God.

everyone has something to work on. I know what I need to work on. but DO YOU? have YOU been honest with yourself & with God?
